Hey there, I’m Chelsea Hall. I’m a Front End Engineer living in Seattle.

I’ve been a Front End Engineer for over 10 years, still with the same passion of bridging the gap between engineering and design.

Focusing on inventing and simplifying approaches that bring designs to life through systems that scale, I’m always looking for the next problem to solve. For the last 4 years I’ve launched 40 components & 30 reusable layouts for 140+ clocks and the Ambient Home experience used by 25+ domains across 6 Amazon Echo Show & Fire TV products. Some of these launches included new device features such as Widgets, which are quick previews of the user’s chosen interests such as Weather & Calendar; also Adaptive Content which shows minimal or dense content adapting to how far you are from the device. Before Amazon, I’ve also built 100+ microsites for 30+ brands such as Starbucks, Mondelez, Disney, Kraft, Chevrolet, Intuit and Dr Pepper. Over the last 10 years I’ve worked heavily with Vue, React Native, Javascript ES6, Typescript, HTML, CSS, and Alexa Presentation Language.

Outside of work I spend my time cooking, baking, hiking, camping as well as spending time with my husband and dog. I really value work-life balance and try to live each end fully.

Favorite bake: Brown Butter Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies

Favorite hike: Mount Rainier Skyline Loop, it’s a tradition to hike it every summer

Favorite camp spot: Diablo Lake
